When I was first contacted by Ben & Liz about their family-focused fall wedding, I was over the moon! It had all the ingredients to make a day that would be truly memorable for years and years to come. First and foremost, the wedding was to take place at Ben's uncle's family farm, Helmenstine Farm, set amongst the rolling hills of Blue Mounds. In an attempt to find a welcoming, serene setting to share their joyous celebration with their nearest and dearest, Ben & Liz could not find a venue to accommodate their vision. When Ben's uncle offered his farm as an option, Ben & Liz jumped at the opportunity to use the farm as their perfect canvas for their fall wedding! Their families worked hard for a year to renovate the barn that would eventually evolve into the reception space for their wedding. During their engagement session, I had the opportunity to see the barn before it had been transformed, and seeing this labor of love come together for their big day was absolutely breathtaking. Add to that all of the rustic details and personal touches and their day was the perfect combination of countryside elegance at its best. I also have to give a big shout out to Ann Marie of Reve Madison for helping these two bring their vision to life! You rock girl!
I met Liz at The House on the Rock Resort while she was getting ready for her big day. Liz had gone to several bridal stores before finding her ideal dress, and I'd say that she choose the most perfect one to compliment her vision and personality, and the lace jacket completed the look. She was absolutely stunning! While I was getting ready with the girls, Bryan, my husband, was hanging out with the boys while they were...well being boys and shooting trap. Ben & Liz decided to keep a few traditions and opted not to see each other before the ceremony. The ceremony had several personal touches, including a tree planting ceremony, Liz's father playing a song on his guitar, and handwritten vows. Afterwards, we made our way to Blue Mounds State Park, which is located atop the largest hill in the southern half of the state! The stunning views and beautiful fall foliage offered the perfect backdrop. The rest of the evening was spent celebrating and dancing the night away in the barn. Thank you Ben & Liz for allowing us to be a small part of your best day ever!
Meet the new Mr. & Mrs. Reeve!
