It's not often that I get to photograph friends, much less friends that I've known since elementary school. So to say that this e-session was especially meaningful for me would be an understatement! These two lovebirds hold a warm place in my heart, and I can't say enough how happy I am for them! Jake & Hailee's love story starts way back in 5th grade when they met at a summer camp called College for Kids. As their friendship progressed in middle school, they soon realized that there was something more. They shared special moments together like practicing the jazz square in Mr. Grady's show choir classroom as dance partners and even went to the junior prom together as they were both members of the prom court. After graduation, Jake & Hailee went their seperate ways, both persuing different degrees at different colleges. However, after an invitation to celebrate Jake's birthday at the beginning of 2011, these two rekinlded their flame. I remember this night like it was yesterday as I saw the way they acted around each other...the way Hailee would smile at Jake and the way Jake would catch a peek at Hailee every chance he could. And here they are, five years later with their blended family of vampire cats (Edward & Bella) and their newest addition, Princess Nala.
Jake & Hailee's engagement session is one of my favorites to date! Not just because we're old friends, but because these two were made for the camera! They are so incredibly natural, relaxed, and just comfortable to be around. Love just looks sooooo good on these two! For our first location, we started out behind Jake's workplace. Admittedly, I was a little hesitant about the location, but oh man....I was so wrong! The overgrown industrial space was absolutely amazing and had the perfect amount of diffused light. I was so in love with the location! We then finished the session at McDaniel Park in McFarland with the sun setting behind us. It was the perfect end to the perfect day, and I could not be more excited to share their pictures with you!
Welcome to the blog, Jake & Hailee!
